Our Social Media Manager will be in charge of helping promote each of our English publications. He/She will be working closely with editors and writers, managing posts and engagement, and monitoring progress using web analytic tools. We are looking for a person who is interested in journalism, technology, entrepreneurialism and startups. We mainly serve the English speaking market, so we are looking for a native English speaker. Developing a social media strategy that is in line with the company’s and publication’s goals and objectives
Deliberate planning and goal setting
Development of brand awareness and online reputation
SEO (search engine optimization) and generation of inbound traffic
Administrate the publishing of relevant content
Create a regular publishing schedule
Leverage the right tools to manage content
Monitor the company’s social media accounts and offer constructive interaction with users
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
1+ years’ experience in social media management
Exceptional multi-tasking skills
Able to explain complex social media data in an understandable way
Strong problem solving skills
Knowledge of Facebook’s, twitter and LinkedIn advertising platforms
Excellent writing and communication skills
Resilient and flexible demeanor
Native English
Ability to speak Spanish is a plus, but not required
Ability to prioritize among competing tasks
Ability to work in Medellin, Colombia-based office
